Enrico Musenich

Born on February 8, 1962 in Rome. He lives and works in Genova. Since 1996 he has been designer at the Staging Management of the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genova; in the period 1987-1995 he was scenographer and stage technician in the same theatre. After having studied music at the Conservatorio N. Paganini in Genova, fine arts at Liceo N. Barabino and at G. Byron institute in Genova, in 1984 he started working with the Teatro della Tosse. He collaborated with the dance company Arbalete in the staging of some spectacles with the design of customs, and the design and manufacture of latex masks. His job as scenographer leaves space to painting: he has realized an exhibition inspired to Stravinskij ballet, wished by his master Emanuele Luzzati, at Villa Vidua in Conzano, at Teatro Juvarra in Torino, and at RicordiMediaStore in Genova; afterwards he has exhibited his works in several private galleries. Since the realization of some of Emanuele Luzzati’s scenographies at the Teatro della Tosse, he has kept on collaborating with him in the staging of his master’s many expositions in Genova. He has designed and produced for Mario Porcile the exhibition on the history of the Ballet International Festival; always in association with this master, he has created the backgrounds and shapes in painted wood for his cribs. He has collaborated with Danilo Donati, the scenographer of Fellini and Pasolini, in the staging of the exhibition on the “Jerusalem” of Giuseppe Verdi, for which Donati would design his last scenography for an opera. In 2003, the rising art gallery “Passo Blu” created a team of artists for launching on the Genoese territory an art and vanguard space. In this frame he “discovered” the collage that stimulated Musenich to produce works that have been exhibited repeatedly in Genova and have constituted in the exhibition “cARTE” which took place in Camogli in summer 2005. His research on digital painting leads him to virtual collage, on which he works assiduously to prepare an exhibition on “The ten worlds, or the Buddhist vision of life”. He has always been exploring the fields of graphic arts and book pictures, to which he sometimes dedicates himself with passion, producing book covers and images, as for the “19th International Conference on Magnet Technology” which took place in Genova in September 2005.
